A book presenting Xi Jinping’s thought on ecological civilization has been published by the Higher Education Publishing House and the People’s Publishing House.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core leader, has addressed the issue of ecological protection from a perspective aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the Chinese nation.
Fully aware of the importance and strategic scope of ecological protection in the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era, the CPC Central Committee has vigorously promoted theoretical, practical, and institutional innovations in this field, formulated a series of new concepts, thoughts, and strategies, conducted historic, transformative, and comprehensive changes in ecological protection in China, and elaborated Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.
This work, which presents this thought and which was prepared under the auspices of the Information Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, consists of an introduction and nine chapters, for a total of about 170,000 Chinese characters.
It systematically lays out the scope, theoretical framework, essence, connotations, and practical requirements of Xi Jinping’s thought on ecological civilization. End
